    The Scent

    Sweetness as evidence. Black currant and pear open it fresh and slightly tart. Iris takes the middle — powdery, cool, aristocratic — with jasmine and orange blossom threading through. Then praline arrives at the base with vanilla, patchouli and tonka bean. Gourmand at the register of jewellery rather than dessert. Persuasion, in note form.
