    The Scent

    The register of inherited things. Aldehydes arrive first — bright, effervescent, faintly metallic — with ylang-ylang, bergamot and neroli lifting behind. The heart is jasmine, iris, rose and lily-of-the-valley, composed rather than crowded. Sandalwood, vanilla, patchouli, vetiver and oakmoss settle the base into warmth.
