    The Scent

    A landscape more than a fragrance. Frankincense, cardamom and elemi open it smoky-bright, lemon and bergamot lifting briefly before Sichuan pepper dries the edge. The heart is dense and unusual: patchouli, anise, cumin, saffron, wormwood and green herbal accents through orange blossom, geranium and rose. Then oud, vanilla, amber, benzoin, opoponax and birch settle the base heavy and dark. A composition that chooses breadth over delicacy.
