    The Scent

    Apple and cool lavender start bright and aromatic. Cardamom, jasmine and violet warm through the middle — the temperature climbing slowly. The base runs on vanilla, sandalwood, guaiac wood and amber, held together by coumarin's soft sweetness. Complex enough that people ask what it is, restrained enough that you never quite answer.
