    Cassis opens it dark and slightly tart, then May rose and freesia bloom in the heart — bright, honest, unshowy. The base holds vanilla and patchouli with woody notes and ambroxan giving the composition its slow warmth. A modern chypre without the old severity. Rose that answers its own question.
