    The Scent

    Cold, thin, silver at the top — bergamot and mandarin barely warmed. Then green tea takes the middle: leaves in shade, faintly bitter, almost blue. Black currant flickers under it. The base is musk, petitgrain, sandalwood and galbanum, dry and mineral and held right against the skin. A fragrance about elevation rather than warmth. It doesn't decorate. It clears.
