    The Scent

    Aldehydes and lemon start bright — a clean fizz across the top before ginger and mint sharpen the edge. Apple, violet leaf and pineapple make the heart green and unusual; sage and geranium hold it steady. The base is ambergris, cedar, vetiver, balsam fir and incense: dry, warm, structural. A fragrance that refuses to explain itself. That is the point.
